The Karate taught at Dragon Fire Martial Arts is called Shotokan (Tall Trees) Karate, originating in Okinawa Japan and founded by Gichin Funakoshi in 1928. Karate-Do (Way of Karate) is a time tested Martial Art and has many benefits to those who embrace it.
There are 4 levels of instruction that are taught at Dragon Fire Martial Arts; Beginner (White, Gold, Orange Belts), Intermediate (Blue, Purple, Green Belts), Advanced (Red, Red/Black, Brown, Brown/Black), and Expert (Black and associated Ranks). Each level of instruction teaches specific skill sets and is accompanied by kata that reinforce the fundamentals of that level / rank.
Each person's journey is different and progress (promotions) in the levels and ranks normally occur once a month. Promotions are done during class and emphasize not only what you have learned since the last promotion, but how you adapt to different situations and how you react under pressure. Testing is a fun, group experience with all team members cheering and supporting each other throughout the tests.

Students may attend unlimited classes each month within their belt rank.
There are no additional fees for testing or belts.
